How you heal is influenced by where you heal. Set on the St. Lucie River, our Florida treatment center pairs a private and upscale waterfront setting with what it takes to rebuild a body and mind worn down by addiction. At Forward Motion Health, you’ll find a state-of-the-art fitness center, a dedicated martial arts facility, and holistic amenities like a cold plunge and sauna. All rooms are comfortable, group spaces are inviting and quiet, and there is enough space for you to catch your breath, clear your mind, and remain completely engaged with healing.
Personalized Attention
Maximum of 14 residents, allowing for more individualized support, guidance, and meaningful therapeutic engagement.
Individualized Treatment
Care is customized through a comprehensive clinical evaluation that identifies each client’s unique needs and goals.
Insurance Friendly Care
We accept most major insurance plans and help verify benefits before treatment begins.
Asking for help takes courage; follow-up should be as supportive of that decision as the decision itself.
The idea behind Forward Motion Health is simple: People don’t recover by being processed through a system, but by being seen, having strong support around them, and being given tools to continue moving forward.
Our Florida rehab center offers a men’s-only treatment program with licensed practitioners and recovery-informed providers, providing a continuum of care to meet your needs wherever you are. From the initial call through aftercare, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that will align with your needs, goals, and the version of yourself you’re working toward.
You don’t have to have everything completely figured out before calling. You just need to be ready to start.
A Setting That Supports the Work
Recovery here is built on three things working together: proven clinical care, physical health and wellness, and a renewed sense of purpose. Whatever has brought you to us for help, our environment was created specifically to give you the greatest opportunity for success.
We also want to give our clients a personal experience. You’re not just a number or a patient file here. We keep our admissions limited, allowing our staff to know more than just your name, but also your story. That’s because continuity and a personalized experience aren’t just a perk. It is an important part of your recovery.

Treatment Options Tailored to Your Experience
No two paths toward addiction are quite the same, so no two paths out of it should be either. At Forward Motion Health, each client works with their clinician to develop a personalized recovery plan that meets all of their substance use and mental health needs, individual history, and goals.
Personalization will be evident in everything we do. It informs our recommendations for the level of care, the therapies used, and the pace of your recovery process. It also informs how any medication management is coordinated, how to bring family into the picture if it will help, and how we plan your next steps from day one. Our program is not a generic program with your name on it; the recovery plan is genuine, and it continues to evolve with your progress.
What We Treat
Substance use and mental health issues usually don’t happen alone. Typically, they present simultaneously or intertwined to the extent that you can’t tell where one begins and one ends. That’s why we have developed a program to treat the whole person, rather than only the visible symptoms.
We are equipped to treat a wide range of substance use issues and co-occurring mental health disorders, from alcohol or opioids to anxiety, depression, or unresolved trauma. Dual diagnosis treatment is not just an option at Forward Motion Health; it is the primary method we use to provide care.
Using Your Insurance Benefits
The quality of your drug and alcohol addiction treatment shouldn’t be reliant on what insurance card is in your wallet.
That is why we accept out-of-network benefits from most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and others. Our admissions team will review your benefits, explain your coverage, and help you navigate through the admissions process before you commit to treatment. At no cost to you.
For those paying privately, we can work with you to create a payment plan that works for you.

Content You Can Trust
We know that many people on our website are making decisions about themselves or someone they love. That is why editorial integrity is not a marketing slogan for us; it’s a baseline requirement. Every resource we publish has been reviewed by subject-matter experts and medical professionals.
What Sets Our Men’s Florida Drug & Alcohol Rehab Apart
Not every rehab program delivers the same quality of care, and those differences matter. When you are researching Florida rehab programs, it’s important to look for the following:
- Licensed and accredited operations evidenced through documentation, not just claims
- Licensed addiction and mental health professionals providing clinical services
- Integrated dual diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Individualized treatment programs tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, not a one-size-fits-all treatment template
- Evidence-based therapy provided by qualified staff
- Inclusion of recovery fitness into treatment with a full, state-of-the-art fitness facility and dedicated martial arts spaces
- Transparent pricing and insurance processes with no surprise costs or hidden fees
- Structured aftercare plans continuing long after completing drug addiction treatment
Forward Motion Health is led by an ownership group with decades of behavioral health operating experience, including a professional MMA and UFC fighter who helped shape our approach to physical training and discipline as part of recovery. Fancy amenities and luxuries are nice, but they do not replace clinical rigor and quality treatment. We welcome the opportunity to answer any questions you have about our program.
Support for Families and Loved Ones
Recovery from addiction is rarely just about the one person going through it.
By the time a person enters treatment, their family members, partners, and loved ones have often already experienced a range of emotions: confusion, fear, exhaustion, anger, grief, and sometimes all of them at once. Recovery for the person needing treatment, and recovery for their loved ones, should not be two separate processes, and that is why we work to integrate families into recovery when appropriate.
Whenever clinically appropriate and when the patient is in agreement, we are happy to include family members in the treatment process. Family members may participate in family therapy sessions, education about addiction, coping strategies when working with the patient, and approved communication about the progress of their loved one while they are receiving treatment. We also recognize that families often require their own support; a place to ask questions, learn how to cope with their emotions, and find out how to show up for their loved ones in ways that will help support recovery.
If you are a family member or loved one of a client and would like to discuss the next steps, we are available to answer all questions before any decisions are made.
Take the First Step Forward
There’s no need to wait until the situation gets worse, and you don’t need to know exactly what type of help you need to get started. All you need to do is reach out.
Our admissions team is available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have, verify your insurance, and help you navigate the process at your own pace and on your own terms. Forward Motion Health is more than a safe place to get sober. We are a launching pad for the life and the family you’re building toward.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Florida Drug & Alcohol Rehab
What is a Florida drug rehab center, and what can I expect?
A Florida drug rehab center is a licensed treatment facility that provides structured, evidence-based care to individuals suffering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. When you come to Forward Motion Health, you can expect to complete an intake assessment to identify your needs, receive an individualized treatment plan, and have access to the most appropriate level of care for your needs, as well as receive support from our entire team during every step of your journey from addiction to recovery.
Do I need medical detox before entering a rehab program?
Not always. However, for many substances, including alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines, completing a medically supervised detoxification process is a recommended or necessary first step. Attempting detoxification without supervision is dangerous. During your intake process, the medical staff will assess your individual situation and determine the most appropriate and safest level of care to begin with.
What is dual diagnosis treatment?
Dual diagnosis treatment involves simultaneous therapy to improve recovery from both substance abuse and mental health disorders at the same time. The research consistently shows that if you treat one disorder while neglecting to treat the other, you will have a poor recovery outcome. At Forward Motion Health, we provide integrated care to our clients, ensuring both co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorder issues are treated simultaneously.
Will my health insurance cover addiction treatment in Florida?
Most major healthcare insurance carriers (Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.) provide coverage for various degrees of substance abuse and mental health treatment. Under the Mental Health Parity Law, health insurance companies are required by law to provide the same coverage as they would for physical health issues. Call our admissions department, and we will verify your insurance benefits at no cost and provide you with a detailed explanation outlining what your insurance covers before you make any decisions.
What happens after rehab? Is there support for long-term recovery?
Aftercare planning begins well before discharge. Before you are discharged to a lower level of care, the clinical team will create an aftercare plan outlining what you will do after you leave our program, including access to outpatient treatment, relapse prevention strategies, connections to support groups, sober living recommendations, and ongoing clinical check-ins. Recovery is a long-term process, and we will continue to support you long after you have left the program.
